[Diabetes-Talk] Questions regarding the Freestyle Libre

Hello everyone,

I have a few questions, regarding the Freestyle Libre.

I found out that my Medicare will cover the Libre. My diabetes specialist told me that due to the fact that I have Medicare, that I can only receive the Libre through a mail order company.
Does anyone know, is this accurate?

Also, once I do receive this Libre, will I still have to use my meter at times?
And where will I have to place the sensor?
Does it usually stay on pretty well?
And for how long do you wear 1 sensor?

Also, the mail order company my diabetes specialist sent my information to, states that for Medicare, I have to at least be testing my blood sugar 4 times a day. But when I asked someone at Medicare about this, they couldn’t find information to support this.
But for those of you who have gone through this, is this accurate as well?
