I cook a lot with ginger, but I haven’t really noticed it affecting my blood sugar in any way. However, the baking soda and the pancreas is not a myth. After my husband had his kidney/pancreas transplant, he had to take sodium bicarbonate, which is basically a pill form of baking soda. He was on it for quite a wile. I am not exactly sure of the medical reason behind it, but I know it had something to do with the pancreas.
