Have you also trained to use glucagon for her? My husband worked with my
nurse educator years ago to learn how to use it on me in an emergency.

Thanks, we'll do that. You and Jamie are right about lows. So far, I've
always been there, and almost always able to bring her around, but I've had
to call 911 twice. That's twice in ten years, so not horrible, but what if
I'm on travel? The tech is there, so why not use it.

I have been very fortunate and have not had any sensitivity issues with the
Dexcom tape. I do think the Dexcom G6 tape is better than the G5 stuff. If
you call and chat with the support people, they will tell you what kinds of
things you can put on your skin first that will help itching without making
the tape not stick well.
I agree with Jamie in that she should really give it a try because lows are
nothing to mess with. Good luck and keep us posted.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom Question

I've finally got my wife to look into the Dexcom CGM system. She cannot
always sense her lows especially if she's asleep. The one issue that she's
worried about is the adhesive. She has severe latex allergies, and her skin
is really sensitive otherwise. So, have any of you who use the Dexcom had
skin issues with the adhesive?

Thanks.
