[Diabetes-Talk] Does anyone remember the pumps that first cane out?

When I was in college in 1984, I participated in a diabetic support group. One of the participants in the group had that same pump. It looked like what I would call a Walkman, which only could be used with a cassette tape. I remember hearing it beep every minute or so throughout the meeting. I always wondered whatever happened to her. I was only 18 at the time, and I remember thinking that I would not want to wear something that big that beeped all of the time!
