I won't get into the whole thing, but first, many doctors resist it because
despite what you think, they are not educated on it themselves. And society
has some misinformed, antiquated notion that it "means something" if you go
on insulin. All it means is that you end up with better glucose control. It
all comes down to what your A1-C is. And the pharmaceutical companies play a
large role too. Why make less money on one medication when you can make
millions by selling a multitude of oral medication to people?  Trust me, Big
Pharmer is not in our corner.
