It may just be that your regular doctor doesn’t feel comfortable prescribing diabetes related stuff, but they can do it. Mine told me if I had any problems when I was out of town or anything to give him a call and he would help. But under normal conditions he doesn’t feel comfortable prescribing diabetes related things. My Endo chronologist is great though, I really like her and her staff.
