They usually have a slightly crunchy exterior, but are softer on the inside.
If you set the oven to broil after baking for a couple of minutes, they will
crunch up a lot more, but my kids like them softer.

Hi on the carots do they looked fried or soft.
Fries have a firm touch not soft as cooked carots do.
