[Diabetes-Talk] Does anyone Know?

All I know is that they're working on a slow roll-out. Sounds like Dexcom,
doesn't it. They told me that there are about 200 of us on the V I P program
and they just can't seem to figure out how they're handling Medicare orders.
So far, every month has been different. The most important thing to make
sure we spread around to everyone is that when you fill out the Medicare
application for the G6, blind people need to lie on that form. Question 8
asks if you'll use the receiver and you have to say that you will do so or
Medicare won't pay for your supplies. Trick is, they're just not enforcing
this. They claim that they are training all diabetes educators on this but
I've seen precious little evidence of it. So there we are. Great work, NFB
and ACB. If both organizations are taking credit for Dexcom progress, then
I'll give them both this colossal failure. But I sure find it ridiculous that
Medicare actually approved the G6 last July and they still can't get their
act together to get it to the people who need it, while every other
insurance company made the switch immediately. What a crummy picture this
is.

I plan to try in the next couple weeks when my G5 transmitter is up.
My Walmart Pharmacy only carries the G6 supplies, and is a Medicare
provider.. I called Medicare and Walmart.
So I am going to take a shot at filling a new Script at Walmart for a
Dexcom G6, and pray it works out!

If you have an Advantage plan, yes, but if just Medicare, I think the date
has been extended again.
