Medicare is a federal program though. It typically doesn't take into account
anyone's income other than yours.
Medicaid is a state-governed program though. And depending on the state, you
may not qualify because it will calculate entire household income.
Also, if over 65, doesn't one qualify for Medicare as a senior anyway?

In our state as a married couple, his assets are higher than they like.
When I got off SSI I fought for my mothers social security.
That was how I got it.
