I am trying to find a near by endocrinologist that would be more understanding. I am also deaf as a result of being diabetic so long..temporarily I pray making calling impossible. Many changes! I appreciate all the help I get here! Diana

I was diagnosed in 1988 and for those first three years, I just couldn't get anything close to decent control. In 1991, when I went on my first pump, within six weeks my A1C went from 13 down to 7 and I'd cut my insulin dosage in half. Hard to believe I am coming close to 30 years on an insulin pump. And I have been totally blind all my life. Maybe when Covid is finally sorted out, we find some big conference and organize a flash mob there. <grin.>

I am terrified of having to give up my pump though I know that day is coming! I really hope someone designs one manageable for blind and low vision diabetics! Diana cook
