Some insurance companies require you to buy the scanner even though we
technically can't use it. Mine did.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Freestyle libre availability update

As my husband is considering getting the freestyle CGM I called customer
service today to clarify the models that are now available in United States.
The freestyle libre two became available in the United States this last July
and does not yet have a phone app but plans to in the future. The freestyle
14 day CGM has both a scanner as well as the phone app and it is not
necessary to buy the scanner if you want to use the phone app.
As some of you mentioned that the phone App is not completely accessible I
pass this information onto the customer service representative.
Patricia
