There  are lots of improvements coming to  the freestyle libre  line up .libre  2 will give you alerts and alarms. Then we will  get  freestyle libre 3 in mid 2021. its already in the clinical trials pipeline to be given trial  and approval ssoon. The libre 3 will be a low cost full cgm  system, without having to  scan  the sensor like the dexcom  cgm.   Have been reading up on all this after I was excited to learn about libre 2 and what  would be in the future abbot pipeline for enhancements or innovations to diabetes management .
