Veronica while I often agree with you in this case I do think that it is not helpful when people who are not using the freestyle give comments about what other people have said to you. That is not helpful and I think it is part of the reason that people are getting so upset about this discussion. I do know that I would no more comment on things about the Dexcom because I don’t use it I only know what other people have told me. But I think passing along information about a device that you are not using has fueled the fire in this case. So perhaps it would be good if we all sat back and just comment on the device that we use. We can give each other more accurate information that way. We all know the information that goes through two or three hands can potentially be misconstrued and that as we all know it’s not our purpose here.

When I look at things like insulin pumps, each has different features, some I want and some I don't. When I started, Libre didn't exist. For a long time, hopefully that's changing now, one could not get alarms from the Libre. That was very important to me. I do understand how to get readings from the different devices. That for me is just a preference. But for me, as a type 1, choosing a device that gave me the alarms felt critical. For anyone who may have different needs or circumstances, it's great that there's another product out there. Nothing more, nothing less.

Also they are the more mainstream one overseas compared to dexcom. So its not always the dexcom way or the highway.but there are alternatives and not all can afford the dexcom and have to rely on what works for them.
