I just wanted to comment here regarding the over patches.  You need to order them directly from Dexcom and you can order 3 months worth for free.

When I used the G5 system it gave those triple question marks quite often. It happened because the G5 was more difficult than the G6 to insert and it was, at least for me, an issue with the tape getting crinkled up. They can on ocasion happen with the G6, but the G6 is so much easier to apply that the triple question marks are a rare happening.

When you’re able to switch over to the G6 I’d strongly suggest you make the change. I still use an over patch to make sure the tape holds on well for the 10 day period. I used over patch tape on the G5 as well for the 7 day period.

Hi all,

A query about the tripple question mark reading if I may.

I don't know why there is no alert for this.  For me, the main benefit of having the system, is that, if I go too low or too high through the night the alerts wake me and I can deal with it.  Since having the Dexcom, I have not needed, "rescueing",  from a hypo!

A couple of the sensors I have used, have seemed a bit dodgey, and the current one failed through the night. When I woke in the morning, I had the tripple question mark result, and a finger prick showed 270!

Ok, a few units of NovaRapid insulin got that under control, but what if I had gone too low  as I occasionally did before Dexcom, I might have been in real trouble!

If there were an alert for the tripple question mark, as there is for sensor out of range, say for instance, after 20 minutes of the tripple question mark, an alert would sound and wake me, I could do a finger prick just to be on the safe side, and deal with any high or low that may have been obscured.

Is there such an alert on the G6?  that I may change to, once our government approves it for our equivalent to the U S medicare?
