Good morning everyone,
Has someone contacted Dexcom to advise them of this issue? It sounds
like a bug in their system they would do well to quash. When a new sensoris
pared with the device the old serial number should be removed automatically
before the system retrieves the new one preventing some of the issues this
failure causes. All the best.

I haven't had the transmitter failures but I have had a couple that took a
very long time to pair. It almost sounds like changing the sensor forced the
app to look for the current transmitter. If you haven't already done this,
here's one thing I would do. When you pair a new sensor, that serial number
will show up in your blue tooth settings, actually it shows the last four
digits of the serial number. But Dexcom does not delete the previous
transmitter serial numbers. You might want to go into your phone's settings,
blue tooth and delete the serial numbers for previous transmitter. I've
known this to fix some wicked problems. Obviously I don't know if that is
what happened here, but as long as you don't delete the current number, no
harm can come from getting rid of the old ones. Then Dexcom is only looking
for one transmitter, not two or three. Dexcom told me that they only delete
the old numbers when the update their app. Dumb!
Anyway, hope you don't see this again.

Hello, I am Les Fitzpatrick (new to this list) I have been using the Dexcom
system it was the G5 but now the G6 Every since the last app update I have
had two transmitter failures they have taken care of it and replaced them
but I hate having to do with without the dexcdom and I sure hate doing the
finger pokes again. I got a new transmitter yesterday and wrote down the
codes to both the transmitter and sensor entered them in to the app and
inserted them, and it never would find the transmitter so Dexcom advised me
to changer the sensor which I did and that did fix the problem. Also I used
to attach the new sensor just before bed but it would always give me a very
low reading (around 30) in the middle of the night. So I started attaching
them in the mornings instead and haven't had that problem at all. Has anyone
else had any of these issues. Saying all of that, I love the Dexcom system
when it works.
