[Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom G6 calibration alert/notification

Oh Rick, what a pain in the you know what. I think I would have changed the
sensor by now. I only had one bug me a lot but it was way off when I first
inserted it so I calibrated it and that set it off. I was told by tech
support once to wait 20 minutes after removing a sensor because the
transmitter needed time to let go of the previous sensor. I did ask them why
that instruction was not in writing if that was the case. Funny thing, no
answer. I was also told that if I was asked to calibrate more than three
times, I should remove the sensor. But you have my sympathy for the
frustration and all the interruptions.
Hope you get your life back soon.
Veronica

Hi Rick,
This happened to me a couple of months ago. I immediately called Dexcom and
they said I used the same code number as the previous sensor It is OK to
use the same code number but, he said I had just inserted it too fast and
the next time I should wait 20 minutes between stopping the old sensor and
inserting the new sensor, if it has the same number. Dexcom did send me
another sensor to replace the one that kept wanting me to calibrate. I did
insert a new sensor and everything went great after the two hour warm up.
One time I did put in the wrong code number and it right away mentioned I
had put in an invalid code number in.
Warmly, Joy

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom G6 calibration alert/notification

Hello all Dexcom users,

For the past day, since I have replaced a Dexcom G6 sensor, I continue to
receive a calibration alert to keep glucose level accuracy. This has never
been received prior and I did the calibration when I first set this new
sensor and calibrated accordingly and successfully. Is this a new regular
alert being put out by Dexcom or the Iphone app that allows the reading of
one's glucose etc.?

Thank you for your comments. If able to discontinue or turn off this
calibration alert, please advise.

Be safe/well,

Rick
