According to this paper
http://scholar.google.com/scholar_url?url=https://www.mdpi.com/1420-3049/24/8/1500/pdfhl=ensa=Xei=sW0QYN3HNI7gygSqhZzICwscisig=AAGBfm0Y6Q9YLvLx5boq3W1xSBSFQ6cZ_wnossl=1oi=scholarr
it should work. Raman spectroscopy is a technique which could benefit from some recent developments in laser photonics that might make this practical on a wearable device. That link seems like it could get mangled, so I attached the PDF of the paper.

Veronica, that’s why I said I would wait and se what these companies are working on.who knows there maybe some kind of revolutionary tech that would avoid us from finge pricks and putting these sensors into our bodies in which at times they are perfect devices an other times there are words that I iwould not like to use on the list that would utter my frustrations towards the cgm's senssors mishapps and failures and all that .
