Hello Jessica I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes in 2012 right after I got
back from my fathers funeral and I was pretty shaken by both events. And I
didn't see how I could possibly deal with this condition. I started using
the prodigy voice which is ok but I kept getting errors or not enough blood
so finally I heard about Dexcom G5 which later became Dexcom G6 which has a
sensor that attaches to your body and it then reads your sugar levels on
your phone, and you can check it every five minutes if you like although in
most cases that is really over kill. But it really works most of the time.
My insurance pays for it totally with maybe a five or ten dollar co-pay and
I don't ever want to be without it. Hope this helps you.

Hello,

Thanks all. Yes I actually am going to my DR later today. I will definitely
get her to write a prescription for the meter. I did see that maxi-aids has
it also and I can check out the NFB market. I just never used it before.
What kinds of excercises if any have you all incorporated into the journey
if any to help lower sugar levels also?
I know if I work on limiting my drink consumption that has increased since
being stuck working from home it defintiely will help as well. I just never
knew until now that I am making more of an effort to check package labeling
how sugar is in everything and some things have a lot of it where you would
not think so.
