I am so sorry you were not all made aware of Sandi’s passing. She was a brave fighter to the end, and she loved all of us. When we had the Iowa Diabetes Action Network, she worked hard to make us dynamic. She did a lot of research to help people understand nutrition. She was full of fun, energy, knowledge, passion, and enhhusiasm. As President Riccobono said, she fought hard for medical devices that are accessible, and she didn’t mince words about what such devices would mean for the blind.
She was passionate about braille and so many oher things. I. Hope we will all keep her family in our thoughts and prayers, as well as her friends.
