Hi David,

Welcome to the list.

As already mentioned by other users, About the Dexcom and the Free Libra,
and the Prodegy Meter.

I hope that you are working with the doctor that is treating you for your
Diabetes. Unless the doctor specializes in caring for diabetic patient they
will not know much about te adaptive equipment for the blind and visually
impaired.

Usually to be able to get a continuous glucose monityor like the Dexcom
insurance like Medicare will require you to be testing your blood sugar
levels at least 4-times daily. Should insurance cover, there may still be a
small out of pocket charge.

Please feel free to ask question on this list any questions may arise and we
will try to direct you as best we can.

You also might want to join as a member of the Diabetes Action Network which
is apart of the National Federation of the Blind. If you are going to the
national convention in New Orleans the group will be holding a meeting on
Thursday afternoon. You will have to check the convention agenda for
location in the Marriot Hotel.
