Yes, I agree with this totally. If sighted help is required to change out the cartridge then its not accessible. It is a no-go until the cartridge issues are resolved along with screen operations.

Thanks Patricia!  More important to me is being able to access the cartridge changing part of the app, since the Tandem pumps are not an option for me without it.  Any pump that I need to have sighted assistance to change the cartridge is not an accessible pump to me.  Thanks for everything you are doing to advocate on behalf of us!

At this point there still is no pump that talks and can be operated from the phone but we are working hard to advocate for this. The Tandem T slim X2 pump has a mobile app where the status of the pumpkin be viewed and voiceover is able to read aloud most of the information in this app. Supposedly this summer they will be updating that app to allow people to do a bolus from the app but not yet to be able to adjust other settings and access other features from the app.  We do not know yet if this bolus feature will be accessible using voiceover but are keeping our fingers crossed.
