When this section is opened the pod options are At the bottom of the screen, there will be a deactivate pod option, double tap on this. Then you will hear a series of beeps from the pod and the Samsung smart phone. You’ll also have to confirm that you want to end the current session. Talkback on the Samsung phone will read the alert out loud that you can remove the pod to start a new one. Now You’ll have to add insulin to the new pod. Now start the activate pod functions. This will be the start new pod button. Then you are presented with a button labeled as left arrow, this his the back button, ignore this. Then flick right to the right arrow button, this will be the continue button, double tap on this. The pod will start priming and Talkback will read the process out loud, every step and will let you know when the pod is ready to place on your body. Once it’s in place you will press the next button and the cannula will be inserted. After that is completed, the app will ask if the cannula is inserted properly. Hit yes on this option, the dialog will now ask if you want to start automated mode. Double tap on yes, if you are using this mode. Now the pod is active and you can start to see readings from Dexcom in a few minutes after the pod connects to the Dexcom sensor.
