[Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom seven

Hi all,

I too am looking forward to the G7, but here in Australia it might take a
whole lot longer to be available, as I was only able to start the G6 in
March this year.

For me, the main reason is a hope that the G7 will be more reliable!

Some sensors work as promoted, and I truly appreciate the system then, but
since March I have only had 9 sensors that lasted the full 10 days. Also,
from time to time, I compare the Dexcom reading to a finger prick, and the
results are quite variable between sensors, with some being out by less
than 12mgdl, which I consider good, but some can be out by more than 30.

I have contacted the Dexcom distributer here, and to their credit, they
have replaced some of those failed sensors, and have provided detailed and
friendly advice on doing what I can to extend the sensor life.

I have considered trying the Libre3 to see if it is more reliable, and may
follow that up if it takes too long before the G7 starts here.

Warm regards,
Paul.

no for now sticking with abbot libre 3. It wil do most of the things that I
was missing from libre 2 for now. If thtre is an affordable out of pocket
dexcom solution then we will see.
