[Diabetes-Talk] Some basic Libre 3 Questions

Hello, Lisa. I am a user of the Libre three with an iPhone fourteen, and I have no problem with it at all. I have been using the libre for several years now, and only once have I knocked off a sensor. There are times I have come very close. I have to watch how fast I take off my shirt at night, make sure that I don't rub up against doorframes when I'm moving in and out of a room, and be very careful when I am sitting on a leather couch and rub my arm against it. I think covering Zara good idea if you can find ones that you can easily apply. When I use them, I particularly like the fact that they keep my sensor dry. I like to do hourly floats in saltwater for relaxation and meditation, and although I have done this several times with an exposed sensor, the thought of doing it bothers me.

I love the sensor because it makes it harder for me to lie to myself. Yes, the French fries do make a difference. Yes, the chocolate doughnuts are wonderful, and there are only six of them, but the sensor doesn't care how good they taste and reminds me that my long-term health is more important than my short-term sugar hit.

Warmly,

Gary

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Some basic Libre 3 Questions

Hi, all. My sister has offered to get me the first month of use with a
Libre 3 system. I'm totally excited about this, but I do have a couple
of questions.

Firstly, I'm using an iPhone 14 Pro with iOS 17. How well does the
Libre 3 work? The information on the Freestyle Libre page says to
enable notifications for Standby mode and to not use Assistive touch. I
use neither of these, so I don't think it will be a problem.

Also, how well do the sensors stay once applied? My sister has had her
Libre for several weeks and hasn't had any issues with her sensors
coming off, though she did warn me that drying off the area where the
sensor is could cause it to come off.

How have your experiences been with the Libre and an iPhone with VO and
do the sensors stay on, or do I need to get something to put on top of
them so they will stick?

Thanks in advance.

Lisa
