Joyce,

Are you saying that when you need to give yourself a bolis there is nothing on the screen you need to see and touch in order to unlock the pump. This was an issue for blind diabetics only a few short years ago. In addition to there not being physical buttons on the pump to feel.

Thanks.

Ilene

There is no issue regarding the unlock. There are only a few times that you need to unlock the pump . One of them is the Calibrating and the "no calibration " will be coming soon.

A new upgrade for the software will be coming soon, just waiting for the FDA approval. They also have a new sensor coming out and I will be very happy if the both get the approval by the FDA at the same time.

Watch for the news that will be coming out very soon.

It has been a little more than 4 months that I had gotten the 770 pump and believe me it is worth it. I used to pass out on the floor with low blood sugars and my son would find me there. I am not using the pump to fullest yet, but it has stopped my low sugar going low enough that I pass out. It can detect when your blood sugar is dropping to quickly and or it is getting low. It basically stops the flow of insulin and will wait up to 2 hours coming back on when it is a normal range.

I look forward to working on it's own keeping my blood sugar level within the normal range. I have been waiting for 65 years for the so called "artificial pancreas" to come out. I am thinking it is not to far into my future.

Joyce,

I'm wondering if Medtronic has resolved the locking issue that required sight to unlock the pump so it can be used? Do you need to call Aira every time you want to do something on the pump? Is this model 770 you say you recently got a new development?

Joyce,
So is the talking coming directly from your pump or from the med Tronic app on your phone?
Patricia.
