Especially since  I don’t get why  dexcom still goes 10 days, when libre  cgm systems, for years have done 14 days.  Its just a sensor,  worn on the body.why cant dexcom,  do 14 days as  well. That would make the cost be more affordable to  all diabetes  users .

Dar, there is no extra battery for the sensor. I'm a little concerned about you wearing it for several days before actually using it. Since the start time counter starts when you first insert it, by the time you start it working, I wonder if you'll only have a few days left. Just thinking out loud. 
And the thing is, once we figure this stuff out, it's really not all that hard. But things don't come with blind-friendly tutorials any more. <grin> I can get through it but no question, I wouldn't mind skipping the experimentation phase. <grin> Veronica

No battery came with the sensor except what is in the inside.
