I have seen it that high even dexcom g5 when I had I was getting a monthly
bil of 200 as the dexcom with some insurance providers is tstill under
duraable equipment and that is the reason why the cost is high.i had the
same thing hhappen recently with ddexcom g7 , when I tried two different
name brand pharmacies CVS and wall greens an both wanted me to pay out of
pocket of $180 per month for the g7 cgm. That's why I have stuck with
libre 2 instead for the lower cost out of pocket. Till that changes I
honestly cant afford the dexcom.dexcom with their way they bill insurance
providers still, in some cases making it be durable equipment, prices
some out of the market for having dexcom over other alternative cgm
solutions and paying for it with either high co pay or out of pocket .
Dexcom, doesn't even have a payment assistance program for type 2 , iits
only for type 1 users of dexcom, or else I would have done that as well.
That does happen from time, that i can get some diabetes supplies and
insulin covered that way and discounted that way.

I have never seen a bill as high as that per month as Medicare pays a good
portion of the cost. I do have a co-pay and it is billed much less than that
of $100.00.

Are you on Medicare? If so, check into whether Medicare insurance is
covering a portion of the cost.

If you have other health insurance coverage, check to see if they will cover
a portion as well.

Hello all,

My practitioner had to lie to say I was on insulin, but I am finally getting
my Dexcom g7! My censors should arrive today. It is not cheap, costing about
$100 monthly, but I'll take it! Is that about how much most people pay? They
are sending the useless reader, too, which may have increased the cost.

I think that we should consider filing resolutions with both consumer
organizations next year to lobby for people who are not on insulin to have
access to these helpful devices.

Amy
