It is amazing how different the coverage for sensors is from one insurance to another. For people on Medicare I believe that it is supposed to be billed through the part B coverage, which is durable medical equipment rather than part D coverage, which is Prescriptions. However, in the past, I have had my mail order providers, check both ways and see which would be the cheapest with the particular insurance plan I had at the time and we went with The cheapest.  for people with a non-Medicare insurance, it seems to more often go through prescription coverage, but that is not always the case. with my regents Blue Cross of Oregon Medicare advantage plan I have a zero copayment for sensors.
