This sounds promising. Let's hope they are getting the message that diabetes
is one of ther leading causes of blindness and that they need to know how we
use their equipment as a blind person and also know how to help someone who
is just beginning their life long experience living as a diabetic.

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Dexcom G7 update.

Hi everyone.
As my sensor fell off this morning, I found myself on the phone with Dexcom
again. I did learn a couple of interesting things.
First, in October, they are supposed to have a major update to their app.
The guy didn't know if it specifically addressed the missing stop and
replace buttons that we don't have.
He also said that G7 would be compatible with the pumps which integrate with
Dexcom. He also said that they will be coming out with new overpatches in
October as well. Paws crossed.
And here's one more tidbit. If you need help figuring out how to do
something related to Dexcom, when you first call and get the robot, instead
of asking for technical support, you can ask for training and education.
They are there Monday through Friday from 6:00 am Pacific until 6:00 pm
Pacific. And yes, these people do know about VoiceOver. They knew about the
buttons that don't show. But it's a great place to go when you're learning
the Dexcom.
Veronica
