[Diabetes-Talk] Anyone need a Dexcom G6 transmitter?

Jamie,

My supplier has been for at least the last year or more been sending me 3 months worth of supplies at a time. I doubt Dexcom would check up on if you actually had a procedure done or not, but why not just tell them the truth and say your supplier is shipping late and you will be out of the very needed sensors for 2 weeks or however long you are anticipating the delay to be. 

Once, and I forget the reason why, Dexcom sent me either a 2 or 3 pack of sensors when I had a problem with something or other. Just tell them you are out and need an emergency replacement to get you through.

Medicare is a pain in the but to deal with as well as the diabetic supply companies.

Thanks Eileen!  I guess I can call to see if they can send me a spare.  I do call if I have a failure or a medical procedure that has me remove the sensor early.  I'd have to tell a white lie about why I need an extra, and I'm not sure if they check to see if I had a procedure.  It's worth a call though.

Hi Jamie,

Can you try calling Dexcom directly and ask if they can send you one or two extra? When I have failures and call them they are more often than not very helpful in sending replacements.

Thanks, Diane! I don’t really need the transmitter unless you have no one else who would like it, but what I really need our a few extra G6 sensors. Medicare is so stingy, and only allowing three a month, and I have no extras if a sensor fails, or if my shipment is late like it will be this month! I wish there were a way to get a few extras added to my monthly order that Medicare allows.
