Gary-
Pumps and CGM(s) are always points of interest to almost any diabetic
seminars attended these days because the results from using them greatly
slow down diabetic complications.
Like last time, these trainers can almost always make presentations where
the seminars are held, as some of the reps and trainers did make sincere
offers to do so, last year.
As mentioned continuously on the list serve, the 3 top pump companies are
still Tandem (Mobi), Insulet (Omnipod 5)and Medtronic (I don't give much
attention any more to this one).
The CGM companies are still Dexcom and Libre.
The companies let you know who the rep is in that specific area. Reps have
mentioned that they are happy to demonstrate and answer questions in seminar
settings which seems advantageous for a group of blind consumers gathered.
List serve members post awesome questions continuously about these tools and
it seems like these are some of your largest participants at your seminar?
Sincerely and warmly,
Mary

Subject: [Diabetes-Talk] Planning our Knowledge is Sweet Seminar
Hi, folks. I have been asked to do two things that involve you good people
on the list. First, I want your suggestions for agenda items for our
Knowledge is Sweet Seminar May 16 and 17 at our Jernigan Institute. Please
tell us what you want to hear about enough to come to the seminar, and if
you have ideas about where we can get a presenter about that topic, this
would be good to know.
Second, I have been asked to get a presenter to talk about the importance of
exercise. It will be good if that someone has a title suggesting they know
about the topic from more than an anecdotal perspective; I'd like someone
with credentials and a title. Again, I will appreciate any suggestions and
if you have a relationship that will make you persuasive in getting them.
Thanks for considering this and helping me if you can.
Warmly,
Gary
