Oh, I get it. I thought the G6 or G7 was the indicator that you put on yur arm to tell you if your sugars are high or low. Forgive the unwanted question.

Hello Eileen! I switched to the Tandem Mobi in March and love it. I =
also started using the G7 at the same time. I can do everything with =
this pump with no sighted assistance needed. =20
The G7 is really nice, although it does tend to be finicky about how =
close the pump is to it. It doesn't happen with every sensor though. =
When it loses connection with the pump, I just move it close to the =
sensor until it reconnects. My cat sleeping beside me and covering the =
pump often is the culprit in the middle of the night! I use the sleeve =
on my abdomen for the pump instead of the holder clipped on the outside =
of my pants, so sometimes I think my clothes cause it to lose blue tooth =
connection too. But, it comes right back when I put the pump close to =
the sensor. The pump is so small that I can just slip it under my shirt =
and let it sit in my shirt near it! The Tandem update is supposed to =
help with the connection issue though, and I just updated mine. =20
I like the ease of inserting it and actually prefer using my arm for it. =
I do need to have my infusion set and pump on the same side though.
I like that it has its own transmitter, so no more pairing the =
transmitter and entering that serial number. And, the Mobi only uses =
the Mobi app, so I don't even have the Dexcom app any longer. =20
Tandem really listened to all of the blind diabetics and made a pump and =
app that is totally accessible to us.
I'm pleased with my choice to switch from the Omnipod to the Mobi.

Hello All,
=20
I've been using the Tandem Mobi insulin pump for just about a year now. =
I've really loved it and have found it very accessible, except when I =
had to change out my Dexcom G6 transmitter every 3 months. Used to be I =
would need sighted help on hand to assist with a new transmitter change. =
I'm happy to report that I am now able to change the transmitter =
completely independently. I am able to select on my own weather I use =
the G6 or g7 system and then proceed forward in both changing the sensor =
every 10th day or the transmitter every 3 months from within the Tandem =
Mobi app. These startups still need to be initiated in the Dexcom app, =
but now it doesn't matter if I start in the Mobi app or Dexcom's app.
=20
The pump is what I'd consider totally accessible by a blind person =
relying on Voice Over. As of today's writing I'm using an iphone 15 Pro =
running IOS
18.5 and Voice Over. =20
=20
HTH.
Eileen
