Good morning,
At the ungodly hour of 4 AM, my sensor expired. Not a surprise, just an annoyance! Anyway, using VoiceOver on my iPhone 16 Pro running iOS version 18.5 I tried to start a new sensor. After obtaining the number of the sensor on my packaging, I went through the usual procedure of trying to enter the sensor number. However, after activating the enter sensor number button on the iPhone, I was surprised to find that there was no way using VoiceOver to enter the sensor number manually. I heard clicks when touching the keypad and the submit button was Unable to be activated as it was grayed out. I called AIRA and had a person confirm that indeed there were four dots on the screen, but no way to enter the sensor number manually. I was able to get the sensor paired by scanning with the camera, which I don’t do easily, but then Called Dexcom support. Apparently there was an update on the 25th. They couldn’t tell me anything about whether they update has an impact on this function. The person with whom I spoke, didn’t know what voiceover was. I had closed the program and then restarted it several times prior to calling AIRA. I’m wondering if this was a fluke with my phone or whether anybody else has had this problem in the last three days when starting a new Dexcom G7 sensor thanks.
