Good Morning Federation Family:

I received the below information in this week's President's notebook for
affiliate leaders. If you have applied for Social Security Disability
benefits recently, please complete the action steps listed. Thank you for
your attention to this time sensitive matter.

Seeking Those Applying for SSDI Benefits:

We are seeking blind persons who have recently been in the process of
applying for SSDI benefits and have had to sign various forms for Social
Security. Additionally, we wish to speak with those blind persons who
recently have had to fill out the SSA Form 1696. This is the form that
allows you to appoint someone else to represent you before SSA. This request
is time sensitive. Please have such individuals contact Valerie Yingling at
vyingling at nfb.org <mailto:vyingling at nfb.org> or 410-659-9314, extension
2440.
