There are many of us in NFB with a fair amount of vision. I do not think you should be put off by suggestions of different ways of doing things. You were once an officer as am I so there is no discrimination on the basis of sight so long as blindness is owned.

I am sorry that you are dealing with judgment. Unfortunately the NFB can sometimes be a space that is unwelcoming to other’s ideas and thoughts. After all, it is your life. Do what best suits you. I  am an ally, and would love to talk with you anytime. I believe we are friends on Facebook.

I was hoping a simple comment about maintenance at my home would be taken at its value, but it became vision/blindness issue.  Again, I apologize.  I will not be attending any more NFB functions because it’s obvious I don’t belong.  I’ll continue with my NAMI support group because so far they haven’t judged me.
