[DSM-Iowa] Up coming meeting and picnic

Hello members,
Our next chapter meeting will be held on August 12th in the assembly room at 2:00 as usual.
After the meeting, we are going to have an indoor picnic.  There are still items that we need, so please contact Sharon Omvig, At skomvig at gmail.com or call her at 5156573155
It is important to contact her, so that we don’t get to much of one item. This way we can have lots of good food. Also anyone coming to the picnic pleas let us know, so we can plan accordingly. You can contact Sharon at the information listed above.
The entrée is going to be provided by the chapter, Bob Ray and Becky young are going to handle the details pertaining to that. We will have barbecued pulled port sandwiches on Kings Hawaiian buns, and smoked chicken. We still need potato salad, Potato chips and dip, , water melon, and cantaloupe, If there is something you would like to bring that isn’t on the list let us know.
Here is a list of some of the things that we are having.  pasta salad, Barbara, Cole Slaw Sharon, Baked beans Teri Wilcox, Desert, Chelsey, and Becky. Don is bringing a veggie tray, and Roger a fresh fruit tray. We also need someone to bring a gallon or two of lemonade.  Jeff and I will be providing the plates, cups, napkins, and silverware.
Also we would like for you to bring a friend. If you are going to do this we do need to know, so that we can plan the food accordingly.   
 this is going to be a fun time. Come on members let’s all participate. We can’t continue to have a chapter with out participation. Everyone is important here, and there is something everyone of us can do. We all need to work together. It can’t always be the same people doing everything all the time. Also remember that we have a fund raiser that has been going since our June meeting. Only 9 or 10 of us have signed up, and I know that we have more members that can give it up or do it. Again participation is important. Also in October we will be having Teresa’s Gaming Salon. I hope you will all come. This is an activity that is open to the public. We can do a lot of things, if we will all work together. Also, Mary would like to have a couple more people on the fund raising committee. You can email her at mmcatitude at gmail.com. Also we still need people to sign up to bring refreshments. August is covered, but we have no one after that. It would be nice for everyone to do this. We aren’t going to have the same people keep bringing them. The refreshments should be simple, one item, and the most two. No drinks, people can bring there own.
