Subject: Ride to Thrive Re-enrollment & July changes

Good afternoon,

I am reaching out to inform you about DART’s Ride to Thrive program re-enrollment process, and to request your help promoting this information to the individuals you serve. DART’s Ride to Thrive program allows people who receive food assistance, housing assistance or workforce assistance to pay about half the cost of a regular bus fare. Currently, more than 1,300 DART riders have enrolled in this program.

Once signed up for Ride to Thrive, riders are eligible for two years. Many Ride to Thrive customers will need to re-enroll in the program beginning July 2024. Ride to Thrive customers can check the expiration date on their Ride to Thrive ID card to see when they need to re-enroll to continue paying half fare to ride DART.

Customers who are no longer receiving food, housing or workforce assistance will not be eligible to pay half fare through DART’s Ride to Thrive program; however customers can explore if they qualify for DART's other reduced-fare programs. Find more information atridedart.com/HalfFare <https://ridedart.com/reduced-fare-programs>.

Several other changes affecting customers will take effect on July 1, 2024:
· Wi-Fi will no longer be available on any DART bus.
· Customer Service hours will be reduced.
· DART On Demand fares will increase.
· DART On Demand zones will be changed.
Many of these changes are needed to help balance DART’s budget as costs for operating service continues to rise. I would appreciate your help sharing this information with your network. Please see this link <https://ridedart.com/toolkit-partners-dart-changes-coming-july-1> to access several communications pieces you can share with your clients and community members, including:
· Web and newsletter blurbs
· Social media posts + graphics
· Talking points you can use
· Informational flier
Please let me know if you have any questions. As always, I appreciate your help sharing DART’s updates so we can further communicate valuable information to our shared audiences.

Talk soon,
Catlin
