[Dtb-talk] DTB Player Sleep Button Problems

That's a part of the design from what I understand. It's done that way to
avoid having to restart the unit if the user happens to be awake. The
volume is lowered so that when the unit does shut down a few minutes later,
it doesn't disturb the user.

I am using the standard player. The sleep function seems to be working ok.
I do notice when the player does shut down after the time limit it decrease
volume and the player does not really shot down until a few minutes later.
If I press the play function within a minute the player will start back up
again.

Subject: [Dtb-talk] DTB Player Sleep Button Problems

  Hello:

A patron states that, though he sets the NLS Standard DTB player to stop
after 45 minutes (using the crescent-shaped Sleep Button, pressing it three
times) he has never succeeded in using the function. He wakes up hours
later, and the book seems never to have stopped playing. He would like to
know whether any other DTB users have experienced this problem. He also
wonders whether changing the volume, or using any other buttons after he has
set the Sleep button would affect the setting, or cause it to be changed.

Any thoughts on this issue would be most appreciated.
