[Dtb-talk] Braille Monitor in Daisy format

I tried using the Microscoft "Save as DAISY" tool and was frustrated at
almost every step, particulary the installation details. I tried the
OpenOffice solution (odt2dtbook) and was amazed at how easy it was to load
and use. And the support information is easy to get to and well written.

http://odt2dtbook.sourceforge.net/

Of course, this assumes that you have first loaded the OpenOffice.org Writer
software, which is free. Even though I routinely use Microsoft Word, I open
then in OpenOffice to use the DAISY conversion extension there.

I don't mean to unfairly criticize the Microsoft Word solution -- in the
hands of a capable user (not me, apparently) it is probably an awesome
conversion tool. OpenOffice was simply the path of least resistance for me.

I use OpenOffice 3 and the odt2dtbook plug in.
