I came across this on Amazon:

It claims to be a 6 foot USB extension cable, and if the picture is
right, it is a cable that will work with our NLS carts. Its female end
has only the metal shield around it, which is exactly what we need.

Here's the fun part. They claim the cost of the cable is $0.01, plus
$2.98 shipping, for a total of $2.99.  Thinking of ordering one myself
to see if it's really true LOL

In any case, thought I'd pass it along for the curious.
