[Dtb-talk] DAISY books on iPod Suffles

Neil;

I have modified a python script that generates it own version of the iPod database file. It is installed on the iPod which I have set up to be mountable in Mac and Windows. I put the books onto the iPod in their own directories. I then run the script which is stored on the iPod as well. It generates the needed databases for the ipod.

The system requires python which Macs and Linux have installed by default and which can be added to Windows. I have Mac and Windows executables which run the script installed on the iPods so that it is simple. Basically drag the books to the iPod's root directory, run the program from the iPod directory and that's it.

I haven't thought out the battery issues yet. These are, of course, non-protected DAISY books with audio in playback order.
