It not a bug that exist it is the fact that this tool is very powerful and can do serious things such as loosing bookmarks or user key such as those from RFBD. 

Like any tool it must be used correctly and like any tool it has the potential for harm if used improperly. 

If this is a big issue to the NLS they can contact me and I'll remove the tool and provide it only to libraries but I can see some use of it by some users to check battery use or to force a recharge for example. It might be of interest here to know that there was two  directive that I left out because of the damage they could possible to do with it to the battery.
