[Dtb-talk] installing humanware companion

Hello. I have a computer running windows 7. I would like to install Humanware companion to use with my victor Reader stream. When I tried to install it, Jaws stated the software could harm my computer, and the companion would not download. Is there a way to get around this and still install the companion software? is the software something I really need? Thank you.
