My BookSense just died (it's less than two years old so, needless to say, I will not be recommending a BookSense to people).

What do folks recommend as the least expensive accessible ebook reader options?

On the subject of the various voices on the readers ... I find it kind of interesting/odd/funny (take your pick) that the Stream is made by Humanware and has Tom and Samantha. I also own a SARA from Freedom Scientific and it also has Tom and Samantha on it. Since these are two different products/manufacturers, I was wondering how this was possible. Are the voices copyrighted? I've never used (nor do I own) Humanware's Scanar so I don't know if it has the same Tom and Samantha or what. (I also wonder if the Scanar looks exactly like the SARA; I know it does the same thing.)
