[Dtb-talk] What are the cheapest accessible ebook readers?

That is funny in a way as my BookSense is also almost dead after a little more than two years. In my
case the speaker has partially failed although the rest works all right. Freedom Scientific has their
little reader called the PlexTalk Pocket on sale until the end of October for $275. The down side is
that I have heard that unit and the Book Port Plus which is built on the same unit has the shortest
battery life. Also, it has Samantha and Tom as does the Stream which is the reason I liked the
BookSense.

You can read about it at

http://www.freedomscientific.com/products/fs/plextalk-pocket-product-page.asp

It appears to be a good reader, though. They say ten hours of battery life, while the BookSense says 12
and the Stream says 15.

Best regards,

Steve Jacobson
