Hi Steve,

Yes!  That is true!  Turning off  Wy Fi is also very easy to do!  I'm so far 
pleased with the battery life and it only takes two hours to charge it!  One 
can charge with provided adapter and USB connections of all sorts.  It is 
versatile in this respect and I don't consider the battery to be a big 
problem!  I actually listened to some audio streams when the BPP said the 
battery was at 3 percent!  One gets a one minute warning before shutting 
down!  I'm not complaining!  It is a featured solution for its size!  I 
bought it for the recorder but enjoy reading with it as well!
