Audible must be authorized much like NLS on each individual Stream.

The new Stream and the original with the softpack, as Dave points out,
can read epub. But it can't read anything like Nook books which have
DRM.

I've downloaded and read a couple of Gutenberg epub books with the Stream.

As far as I know, the only way to read any ebooks which one buys
commercially right now is via iOS apps - Blio, Nook, nad recently
Kindle apps are accessible.
