[Electronics-talk] talking check writers

I order checks from a company recommended by the developers of my
check-writing program. If you have the correct routing number for your bank
and the account number, that seems to be all that is important. I use the
talking checkbook program. Works great! Can't remember the name of the
company right now but I am very happy with what I use. I can, at another
time, look up the information, if you want.

Good morning.
It appears from these postings that computerized check writing is the way to
go for doing independent checkwriting once the software is configured even
with sighted assistance if need be. However, it is quite likely one would
have to have check blanks that conform to the bank's specifications because
of specific information such as routing and transit numbers. Once the check
blanks are customized to the check blank format of one's bank it could be a
very dicy proposition as to whether the data entry fields would physically
line up with the revised layout. Hopefully someone who has experience with
this issue can enlighten us.
Best regards
