I bought the talking braille watch from Independent Living Aids.  But I do
not recommend that you buy one.

Yes, batteries are an issue with watches.  I have a braille/talking watch
that stopped working with in 5 days of getting it.  They would not take it
back because it was the  3rd replacement in less then 2 months.  If anyone
knows how to get to the battery on this watch that would be great news.

Just curious.  How do you replace the battery in one of these watches?  I
have a drawer full of dead talking watches whose batteries are not easily
replaceable by the user.  And because they are so cheap, a jewelry or watch
repair place won't touch them.
