[Electronics-talk] Help with Grundig Talking attomic watch!

Good morning Gerald. Yes, I have some of those $10 plastic jobs and I don't
buy those anymore for that reason. I feel kind of awkward asking our
jeweler to replace a battery. I have purchased a Seiko and a wind up
Braille pocket watch from him. He has even taken parts from one watch to
repair another one. I had two of the same watch from Radio Shack. I guess
I am just lucky to have made friends with this gentleman before I lost my
eyesight. So far, he has just charged me for the battery and no labor. As
you and all the others on the list have found, most all of the cheaper
watches are simply that a cheap watch not worth the cost of a battery. By
the way, the watch from Radio Shack that I really liked was the one with the
stainless steel wrist band and four buttons. Howard would still be
repairing it, but it was made in China and parts are no longer available.
To tell you the truth, I finally just got embarrassed to ask him to work on
it any more! grin

Best regards,

Bob Hicks
